Faculty of Dental Medicine from Titu Maiorescu University organizes an admission contest in SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 for the Study Programme Dental Medicine in English, 14:00 o’clock, in IOR building, Pictor Gheorghe Petrascu street, no. 67A. 

Candidates must arrive before 13:00 o’clock and bring their passport on the examination day. 

The registration period for candidates is between  September 25-26, 2019. 

The candidates will have to register in advance at the UTM International Relations Office in Building M, Vacaresti Avenue no. 189, and after that, at the secretariat of Dental Medicine Faculty, pictor Gheorghe Petrascu street, no. 67A, I-st floor.

SEPTEMBER 2018 SESSION

CANDIDATES ADMITTED IN SEPTEMBER 2018 SESSION ARE REQUIRED TO PAY AT LEAST THE FIRST INSTALLMENT OF THE TUITION FEE UNTIL OCTOBER 02, 2018, 4 PM. OTHERWISE, THE CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE MATRICULATED IN THE FIRST YEAR.

Procedure of admission for international candidates in 2018

Titu Maiorescu University (UTM) organizes admission contest in two sessions, JULY 2018 and SEPTEMBER 2018. The admission procedure is identical for the two sessions. Please see below the details according to the citizenship of the candidate and high school studies. 

Candidates from Romania with high school studies abroad, EU states, states belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation

The citizens of Romania with studies abroador other education systems operating on the territory of Romania, of other EU states, of the states belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation can enroll in the admission procedures.

Their matriculation in the study programmes is conditional on the recognition of high school studies by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED). The non-recognition of high school studies by NCRED impedes the University to matriculate the candidate.

Step 1. – Registration at Department of International Relations

Registration period for international candidates (July session):

July 2, 2018 – July 20, 2018 – for the English programs (Medicine in English and Dental Medicine in English)

July 2, 2018 – July 23, 2018 – for the Romanian programs at all the faculties

Registration period for international candidates (September session):

September 3, 2018 – September 14, 2018 – for all the programs

Candidates register at the Department of International Relations (DRI) (Registration form for DRI) (189 Calea Văcărești, Building M, District 4, Bucharest), submitting three enrollment files which contain the following documents:

1. Application form for recognition of studies for enrolment to undergraduate studies, academic year 2018-2019, that will be submitted by UTM to the Ministry of National Education (NCRED).
2. The baccalaureate diploma, in the original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
3. Certificate of passing the baccalaureate exam (or its equivalent), in original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals), in the case of candidates who have passed the baccalaureate exam in the sessions corresponding to the school year 2017-2018, with the obligation to submit to the secretariat of the faculty the baccalaureate diploma (or the equivalent diploma), in the original and legalized translation into Romanian, until October 2, 2018, if they are admitted.
4. School record (school transcript with grades) for all high school years, in the original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
5. Birth certificate, legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
6. Marriage certificate, legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals), if applicable.
7. Personal identification document (passport and other form of identification proving the citizenship of a member state of the EU, EEA or the Swiss Confederation) legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
8. Health certificate, in English or Romanian, specifying that the candidate is apt for higher education studies in the chosen field (e.g. medical field) and does not suffer from contagious diseases (original)
9. 3 (three) recent photo ID cards.
10. Language proficiency certificate for Romanian/English, B1 level at minimum, issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of National Education, or an international certificate for English: Cambridge, INERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS), TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL), or other internationally recognized certificate (candidates who are citizens of countries in which the official language is English or have study documents certifying high school graduation in English are exempt from this obligation).

Candidates submit to the Department of International Relations, the above mentioned documents in three envelope files. On each cover they will write with capital letters the surname at birth (from birth certificate), current surname (after marriage, adoption, change on request, if applicable), initial/initials of the given name/names of the father (mother, if the father is unknown), the given name of the candidate, the study programme for which they are applying, as well as the e-mail address and the mobile phone number.

Two files must contain the documents in legalized translations, apostille /authenticated, and the third file will contain plain copies of all documents.

The Department of International Relations verifies the candidate’s file and issues an eligibility document which is added to the candidate’s file.

Step 2. – Payment of the admission fees

Candidates from Romania, EU, EEA and SC states, pay the following fees (RON):

The admission fee and language test fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The fees can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest, next to the Department of International Relations) or in the university’s bank account: RO90BTRL04301202N01816XX, Banca Transilvania. 

One copy of the payment proof is added to the file that remains at the Department of International Relations and another copy is added to the file that is submitted to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Step 3. – Registration at the Faculty’s Admission Office

One original version of the enrollment file, completed with the eligibility document from DRI and copies of the payment proofs is taken to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Here the candidate completes the Application form for enrollment in the admission (Medicine; Dental Medicine) contest and matriculation in the 1st year of undergraduate studies, academic year 2018-2019;

Step 4. – Evaluation of language knowledge

Candidates for study programmes Medicine (in English) and Dental Medicine (in English) undergo an eliminatory test of general knowledge of English. The test consists of a written examination and an interview (oral examination). Are exempt from this obligation candidates who present study documents certifying graduation from high school in English, those who are citizens of countries whose official language is English and those who present a linguistic certificate for English with international recognition. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 23rd. Registration period: July 2 – July 20. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

International candidates for study programmes in Romanian take an eliminatory test of general knowledge of basic Romanian language. Are exempt from this obligation candidates who graduated the Romanian Language Foundation Course. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 24th. Registration period: 2 July – 23 July. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

The exact location for the eliminatory evaluations will be communicated before.

The pass mark for cannot be less than 5 (five). The rejected applicants may not participate in the admission contest.

The accepted applicants continue with the admission contest, following the procedure and the calendar of the chosen faculty.

Step 5. – Participate in the admission contest

The admission is made in descending order of the general averages obtained by the candidates in the admission contest, within the limit of the approved tuition figure.

Step 6. – Applying for the certificate of recognition of studies at the Ministry of National Education

Candidates that pass the admission contest must apply for the certificate of recognition of studies for enrolment to undergraduate studies issued by the Ministry of National Education. The application is made by Titu Maiorescu University – Department of International Relations, based on the documents provided by the candidate in the enrollment step 1.

Within 3 days after receiving the admission contest results, candidates must pay the fee for preparing and submitting the file to MEN.

The fees can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest, next to the Department of International Relations) or in the university’s bank account in RON: RO90BTRL04301202N01816XX, Banca Transilvania.

UTM submits the application files to the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED).

One copy of the payment proof is added to the files at the Department of International Relations.

Step 6. – Paying the tuition fee

Candidates with Romanian citizenship and high school studies in Romania, in Romanian, candidates citizens of EU States, EEA and Swiss Confederation, as well as Romanian citizens with studies abroad or other education systems operating on the territory of Romania who have been admitted are required to pay at least the first installment of the tuition fee until AUGUST 31, 2018. Otherwise, the candidate will not be matriculated in the first year of study. The payment of the tuition fee can be made in full at the due date of the first installment.

The fee can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest) or in the university’s bank account in Banca Transilvania, Bucharest, SWIFT: RO22BTRL.

The matriculation in the study programmes for citizens of EU States, EEA and Swiss Confederation, as well as Romanian citizens with studies abroad or other education systems operating on the territory of Romania is conditional on the recognition of high school studies by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED). The non-recognition of high school studies by NCRED impedes the University to matriculate the candidate and the paid tuition fee is reimbursed.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the rejected candidate, without the payment of a fee.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the admitted candidate who renounces the place obtained by admission until September 30, 2018, without the payment of a fee. If, until this date, the admitted candidate pays the full or part of the tuition fee, the paid amount is refunded to the candidate.

The enrollment fee for the admission contest, the enrollment fee for the General and Medical Knowledge Test in English, and the fee for the processing and transmission of the file to the Ministry of National Education are not refundable in any case.

Candidates from outside EU, European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation states

The citizens from outside EU, EEA and SC can enroll and participate in the admission procedures.  Their matriculation in the study programmes is conditional on the receipt of the letter of acceptance to studies from the General Direction for International Relations and European Affairs of the Ministry of National Education (GDIRE). Failure to obtain the letter of acceptance to studies from GDIRE impedes the University to matriculate the candidate.

Step 1. – Registration at Department of International Relations

Registration period for international candidates (JULY session):

The baccalaureate diploma, in the original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals). Diplomas from countries that are members to the Hague Apostille Convention, request a Hague Apostille, issued by the competent authorities in the issuing countries.For the countries who are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, diplomas will be authenticated by the Embassy/Consular Office of Romania from the issuing country.Diplomas from Republic of Moldova do not need any form of authentication. Diplomas issued before 2008 shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the Ministry of Education of Republic of Moldova (in original).

UTM submits the application files to the Ministry of Education – General Direction for International Relations and European Affairs.

Step 7. – Paying the integral tuition fee for the first year of studies

Candidates citizens of non-EU States who have been admitted are required to pay the tuition fee in full, in order to obtain a residency visa in Romanian for the whole academic year 2018-2019 until August 31, 2018. Otherwise, the candidate will not be matriculated in the first year of study.

The fee can be paid in EURO in the university’s bank account in EURO: RO65BTRL04304202N01816XX ; Banca Transilvania ; Bucharest, SWIFT: RO22BTRL.

One copy of the payment proof is added to the file at the Department of International Relations and one copy at the Secretary of the Faculty.

The matriculation of the candidate is definite only after receiving the letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Education and presenting a passport with a valid visa for studies. In case the candidate is not accepted for studies by the Ministry of National Education, he/she can not continue the studies and the paid tuition fee is reimbursed.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the rejected candidate, without the payment of a fee.

ADMISSION CONTESTS AND SUBJECTS

Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dental Medicine

1. For the bachelor study programmes Medicine (in Romanian) and Dental Medicine (in Romanian), the competition subjects are BIOLOGY, compulsory, and CHEMISTRY or PHYSICS, subjects of choice. The entrance examination consists of completing a 100-question multiple-choice test, out of which 70 for compulsory subject and 30 for the one of choice. Each question has 5 possible answers. Questions are of two types:

a) Questions with a single correct response out of five. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct response is scored with a point;

b) Questions with two correct responses out of five. Each question marked with both correct responses and only those responses point is scored with a point.

The general average for the admission contest is calculated as follows:

General average = (score obtained at Biology + score obtained at the subject of choice) / 10 

The minimum average for admission could not be less than 5 (five).

Candidates are required to specify on the Application Form the chosen subject for the admission exam (e.g. Chemistry or Physics).

2. For the bachelor study programmes General Nursing and Dental Technique, the competition subject is BIOLOGY. The contest test consist of completing a 100-question multiple-choice  test. Each question has 5 possible answers, of which one is correct. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct response is scored with a point. The score turns into a mark as follows:

Mark = score obtained at Biology  x 0.1 

The minimum mark obtained at the question multiple-choice test could not be less than 5 (five). The general average for the admission contest takes into consideration the general average obtained in the baccalaureate exam, with a weight of 10% of the general admission average.

Each question has four response variants, out of which a single response is correct. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct answer is scored with 0.5 points. The score turns into a mark as follows:

Mark = score obtained at Chemistry x 0.5 

The minimum mark obtained at the question multiple-choice test could not be less than 5 (five). The general average for the admission contest is calculated as an arithmetic mean between the mark obtained in the multiple-choice test and the average obtained at the baccalaureate exam.

For the bachelor study programme Informatics, the competition subject is INFORMATICS and INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY. The entrance examination consists of completing a 20-question multiple-choice test. Each question has four response variants, out of which a single response is correct. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct answer is scored with 0.5 points. The score turns into a mark as follows:

The minimum mark obtained at the question multiple-choice test could not be less than 5 (five). The general average for the admission contest takes into consideration the general average obtained in the baccalaureate exam, with a weight of 25% of the general admission average.

The subjects will be elaborated on the basis of the curricula in force since 2011, at the INFORMATICS subject, years of study IX-XI, the specialization Mathematics-Informatics (nonintensive Informatics) and the subject of INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY, years of study IX-X, studied in the common trunk, to all branches, profiles and specializations. For all these subjects and years of study, all alternative manuals approved by MEN are valid.

Procedure of admission for international candidates in 2018

Titu Maiorescu University (UTM) organizes admission contest in two sessions, JULY 2018 and SEPTEMBER 2018. The admission procedure is identical for the two sessions. Please see below the details according to the citizenship of the candidate and high school studies. 

Candidates from Romania with high school studies abroad, EU states, states belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation

The citizens of Romania with studies abroador other education systems operating on the territory of Romania, of other EU states, of the states belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation can enroll in the admission procedures.

Their matriculation in the study programmes is conditional on the recognition of high school studies by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED). The non-recognition of high school studies by NCRED impedes the University to matriculate the candidate.

Step 1. – Registration at Department of International Relations

Registration period for international candidates (July session):

July 2, 2018 – July 20, 2018 – for the English programs (Medicine in English and Dental Medicine in English)

July 2, 2018 – July 23, 2018 – for the Romanian programs at all the faculties

Registration period for international candidates (September session):

September 3, 2018 – September 14, 2018 – for all the programs

Candidates register at the Department of International Relations (DRI) (Registration form for DRI) (189 Calea Văcărești, Building M, District 4, Bucharest), submitting three enrollment files which contain the following documents:

1. Application form for recognition of studies for enrolment to undergraduate studies, academic year 2018-2019, that will be submitted by UTM to the Ministry of National Education (NCRED).
2. The baccalaureate diploma, in the original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
3. Certificate of passing the baccalaureate exam (or its equivalent), in original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals), in the case of candidates who have passed the baccalaureate exam in the sessions corresponding to the school year 2017-2018, with the obligation to submit to the secretariat of the faculty the baccalaureate diploma (or the equivalent diploma), in the original and legalized translation into Romanian, until October 2, 2018, if they are admitted.
4. School record (school transcript with grades) for all high school years, in the original and legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
5. Birth certificate, legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
6. Marriage certificate, legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals), if applicable.
7. Personal identification document (passport and other form of identification proving the citizenship of a member state of the EU, EEA or the Swiss Confederation) legalized translation into Romanian (2 originals).
8. Health certificate, in English or Romanian, specifying that the candidate is apt for higher education studies in the chosen field (e.g. medical field) and does not suffer from contagious diseases (original)
9. 3 (three) recent photo ID cards.
10. Language proficiency certificate for Romanian/English, B1 level at minimum, issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of National Education, or an international certificate for English: Cambridge, INERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS), TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL), or other internationally recognized certificate (candidates who are citizens of countries in which the official language is English or have study documents certifying high school graduation in English are exempt from this obligation).

Candidates submit to the Department of International Relations, the above mentioned documents in three envelope files. On each cover they will write with capital letters the surname at birth (from birth certificate), current surname (after marriage, adoption, change on request, if applicable), initial/initials of the given name/names of the father (mother, if the father is unknown), the given name of the candidate, the study programme for which they are applying, as well as the e-mail address and the mobile phone number.

Two files must contain the documents in legalized translations, apostille /authenticated, and the third file will contain plain copies of all documents.

The Department of International Relations verifies the candidate’s file and issues an eligibility document which is added to the candidate’s file.

Step 2. – Payment of the admission fees

Candidates from Romania, EU, EEA and SC states, pay the following fees (RON):

The admission fee and language test fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The fees can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest, next to the Department of International Relations) or in the university’s bank account: RO90BTRL04301202N01816XX, Banca Transilvania. 

One copy of the payment proof is added to the file that remains at the Department of International Relations and another copy is added to the file that is submitted to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Step 3. – Registration at the Faculty’s Admission Office

One original version of the enrollment file, completed with the eligibility document from DRI and copies of the payment proofs is taken to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Here the candidate completes the Application form for enrollment in the admission (Medicine; Dental Medicine) contest and matriculation in the 1st year of undergraduate studies, academic year 2018-2019;

Step 4. – Evaluation of language knowledge

Candidates for study programmes Medicine (in English) and Dental Medicine (in English) undergo an eliminatory test of general knowledge of English. The test consists of a written examination and an interview (oral examination). Are exempt from this obligation candidates who present study documents certifying graduation from high school in English, those who are citizens of countries whose official language is English and those who present a linguistic certificate for English with international recognition. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 23rd. Registration period: July 2 – July 20. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

International candidates for study programmes in Romanian take an eliminatory test of general knowledge of basic Romanian language. Are exempt from this obligation candidates who graduated the Romanian Language Foundation Course. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 24th. Registration period: 2 July – 23 July. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

The exact location for the eliminatory evaluations will be communicated before.

The pass mark for cannot be less than 5 (five). The rejected applicants may not participate in the admission contest.

The accepted applicants continue with the admission contest, following the procedure and the calendar of the chosen faculty.

Step 5. – Participate in the admission contest

The admission is made in descending order of the general averages obtained by the candidates in the admission contest, within the limit of the approved tuition figure.

Step 6. – Applying for the certificate of recognition of studies at the Ministry of National Education

Candidates that pass the admission contest must apply for the certificate of recognition of studies for enrolment to undergraduate studies issued by the Ministry of National Education. The application is made by Titu Maiorescu University – Department of International Relations, based on the documents provided by the candidate in the enrollment step 1.

Within 3 days after receiving the admission contest results, candidates must pay the fee for preparing and submitting the file to MEN.

The fees can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest, next to the Department of International Relations) or in the university’s bank account in RON: RO90BTRL04301202N01816XX, Banca Transilvania.

UTM submits the application files to the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED).

One copy of the payment proof is added to the files at the Department of International Relations.

Step 6. – Paying the tuition fee

Candidates with Romanian citizenship and high school studies in Romania, in Romanian, candidates citizens of EU States, EEA and Swiss Confederation, as well as Romanian citizens with studies abroad or other education systems operating on the territory of Romania who have been admitted are required to pay at least the first installment of the tuition fee until AUGUST 31, 2018. Otherwise, the candidate will not be matriculated in the first year of study. The payment of the tuition fee can be made in full at the due date of the first installment.

The fee can be paid in RON at the Cashier Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest) or in the university’s bank account in Banca Transilvania, Bucharest, SWIFT: RO22BTRL.

The matriculation in the study programmes for citizens of EU States, EEA and Swiss Confederation, as well as Romanian citizens with studies abroad or other education systems operating on the territory of Romania is conditional on the recognition of high school studies by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (NCRED). The non-recognition of high school studies by NCRED impedes the University to matriculate the candidate and the paid tuition fee is reimbursed.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the rejected candidate, without the payment of a fee.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the admitted candidate who renounces the place obtained by admission until September 30, 2018, without the payment of a fee. If, until this date, the admitted candidate pays the full or part of the tuition fee, the paid amount is refunded to the candidate.

The enrollment fee for the admission contest, the enrollment fee for the General and Medical Knowledge Test in English, and the fee for the processing and transmission of the file to the Ministry of National Education are not refundable in any case.

Candidates from outside EU, European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation states

The citizens from outside EU, EEA and SC can enroll and participate in the admission procedures.  Their matriculation in the study programmes is conditional on the receipt of the letter of acceptance to studies from the General Direction for International Relations and European Affairs of the Ministry of National Education (GDIRE). Failure to obtain the letter of acceptance to studies from GDIRE impedes the University to matriculate the candidate.

One copy of the payment proof is added to the files that remain at the Department of International Relations and another copy is added to the file that is submitted to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Step 3. – Registration at the Faculty’s Admission Office

One original version of the enrollment file, completed with the eligibility document from DRI and copies of the payment proofs is taken to the Secretariat of the Faculty.

Here the candidate completes the Application form for enrollment in the admission (Medicine; Dental Medicine) contest and matriculation in the 1st year of undergraduate studies, academic year 2018-2019;

Step 4. – Evaluation of language knowledge

Candidates for study programmes Medicine (in English) and Dental Medicine (in English) undergo an eliminatory test of general knowledge of English. The test consists of a written examination and an interview (oral examination). Are exempt from this obligation candidates who present study documents certifying graduation from high school in English, those who are citizens of countries whose official language is English and those who present a linguistic certificate for English with international recognition. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 23rd. Registration period: July 2 – July 20. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

International candidates for study programmes in Romanian take an eliminatory test of general knowledge of basic Romanian language. Are exempt from this obligation candidates who graduated the Romanian Language Foundation Course. For the JULY 2018 session, the test takes place on July 24th. Registration period: 2 July – 23 July. For SEPTEMBER 2018 session, the test takes place on September 14th. Registration period: September 3 – September 13.

The exact location for the eliminatory evaluations will be communicated before.

The pass mark for cannot be less than 5 (five). The rejected applicants may not participate in the admission contest.

The accepted applicants continue with the admission contest, following the procedure and the calendar of the chosen faculty.

The admission is made in descending order of the general averages obtained by the candidates in the admission contest, within the limit of the approved tuition figure.

Step 6. – Applying for the letter of acceptance to studies at the Ministry of National Education

Candidates that pass the admission contest must apply for a letter of acceptance to studies issued by the Ministry of National Education. The application is made by Titu Maiorescu University – Department of International Relations, based on the documents provided by the candidate in the enrollment step 1.

Within 3 days after receiving the admission contest results, candidates must pay the fee for preparing and submitting the file to MEN.

UTM submits the application files to the Ministry of Education – General Direction for International Relations and European Affairs.

Step 7. – Paying the integral tuition fee for the first year of studies

Candidates citizens of non-EU States who have been admitted are required to pay the tuition fee in full, in order to obtain a residency visa in Romanian for the whole academic year 2018-2019 until August 31, 2018. Otherwise, the candidate will not be matriculated in the first year of study.

The fee can be paid in EURO in the university’s bank account in EURO: RO65BTRL04304202N01816XX ; Banca Transilvania ; Bucharest, SWIFT: RO22BTRL.

One copy of the payment proof is added to the file at the Department of International Relations and one copy at the Secretary of the Faculty.

The matriculation of the candidate is definite only after receiving the letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Education and presenting a passport with a valid visa for studies. In case the candidate is not accepted for studies by the Ministry of National Education, he/she can not continue the studies and the paid tuition fee is reimbursed.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the rejected candidate, without the payment of a fee.

The application file is returned, upon request, to the admitted candidate who renounces the place obtained by admission until September 30, 2018, without the payment of a fee. If, until this date, the admitted candidate pays the full or part of the tuition fee, the paid amount is refunded to the candidate.

The enrollment fee for the admission contest, the enrollment fee for the General and Medical Knowledge Test in English, and the fee for the processing and transmission of the file to the Ministry of National Education are not refundable in any case.

ADMISSION CONTESTS AND SUBJECTS

Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dental Medicine

1. For the bachelor study programmes Medicine (in Romanian) and Dental Medicine (in Romanian), the competition subjects are BIOLOGY, compulsory, and CHEMISTRY or PHYSICS, subjects of choice. The entrance examination consists of completing a 100-question multiple-choice test, out of which 70 for compulsory subject and 30 for the one of choice. Each question has 5 possible answers. Questions are of two types:

a) Questions with a single correct response out of five. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct response is scored with a point;

b) Questions with two correct responses out of five. Each question marked with both correct responses and only those responses point is scored with a point.

The general average for the admission contest is calculated as follows:

General average = (score obtained at Biology + score obtained at the subject of choice) / 10 

The minimum average for admission could not be less than 5 (five).

Candidates are required to specify on the Application Form the chosen subject for the admission exam (e.g. Chemistry or Physics).

2. For the bachelor study programmes General Nursing and Dental Technique, the competition subject is BIOLOGY. The contest test consist of completing a 100-question multiple-choice  test. Each question has 5 possible answers, of which one is correct. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct response is scored with a point. The score turns into a mark as follows:

Mark = score obtained at Biology  x 0.1 

The minimum mark obtained at the question multiple-choice test could not be less than 5 (five). The general average for the admission contest takes into consideration the general average obtained in the baccalaureate exam, with a weight of 10% of the general admission average.

For the bachelor study programme Informatics, the competition subject is INFORMATICS and INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY. The entrance examination consists of completing a 20-question multiple-choice test. Each question has four response variants, out of which a single response is correct. Each question marked with the correct response and only the correct answer is scored with 0.5 points. The score turns into a mark as follows:

Mark = score obtained at the question multiple-choice test x 0.5 

The minimum mark obtained at the question multiple-choice test could not be less than 5 (five). The general average for the admission contest takes into consideration the general average obtained in the baccalaureate exam, with a weight of 25% of the general admission average.

The subjects will be elaborated on the basis of the curricula in force since 2011, at the INFORMATICS subject, years of study IX-XI, the specialization Mathematics-Informatics (nonintensive Informatics) and the subject of INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY, years of study IX-X, studied in the common trunk, to all branches, profiles and specializations. For all these subjects and years of study, all alternative manuals approved by MEN are valid.

The general average for the admission contest is calculated as an arithmetic mean between the average obtained at the baccalaureate exam and the mark obtained at the written test of the Romanian language in the baccalaureate exam, for the candidates who have attended the high school studies in Romania, respectively the mark obtained at the test of general knowledge of basic Romanian language, for the candidates who have attended high school studies outside Romania or in a language other than Romanian.[/vc_column_text]
