Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in the period 2021-2027.
Erasmus+ offers opportunities for millions of Europeans to study, train, volunteer or gain professional experience abroad.
Building on the success of the programme in its 35 years of activity, Erasmus+ strengthens its efforts to increase the opportunities offered to more participants and to a wider range of organisations, focusing on its qualitative impact and contributing to more inclusive and cohesive, greener and digitally fit societies.
Titu Maiorescu University (TMU) has a long experience in implementing the Erasmus+ programme. In 2004 TMU has been awarded with the first Erasmus Charter and has been organising mobilities since 2005. Thanks to its internationalization activity, the number of international students has doubled and the number of Erasmus mobilities has increased each year by 10%.
Throughout its history, Titu Maiorescu University has developed as a comprehensive university, being the only private university in Romania that offers an integrated medical education within the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Through its English-taught programs, TMU has become an attractive university for international students, but also for foreign professors who can conduct research or benefit from a teaching/training mobility in an international language.
Titu Maiorescu University operates within Key Action 1 – study and traineeship mobilities in another country for students, as well as teaching or training mobilities for teaching and administrative staff.
