Self-financing applicants (or independent students) are those international applicants who come to study at UTM with their own financing. They apply for courses and study programmes by themselves. Any self-financing student from around the world can apply.

Admission is based on the selection of application files.

Since courses are taught in Romanian, international students have to prove good language knowledge. Usually, international students learn Romanian during the preparatory year.
